When American singer/songwriter/pianist Vonda Shepard became a household name in the 90s, thanks to Ally McBeal, I was an immediate convert – and discovered that she’d already made three albums, two for Warners followed by a particularly brilliant indie LP, 1996’s It’s Good Eve. Since then, she’s released a string of extremely consistent works produced by Mitchell Froom. We spoke for RnR magazine (Nov/Dec 2022 issue) on the occasion of the latest, Red Light Green Light.
