One of this year’s most exciting reissues was the double-CD (and/or double-vinyl) presentation of Bobbie Gentry’s second album, The Delta Sweete (originally Capitol, 1968). When you see the name Andrew Batt on a project, it’ll have been overseen by Universal’s A-team, and lavished with exceptional attention to detail and care.
