One of the immensely interesting singer/songwriters of whom you may not have heard is Janey Street, whose career goes back to the classic folk and singer/songwriter movement in 1960s Greenwich Village. She first recorded as part of Janey & Dennis (for Reprise and Capitol Records), then went solo in the 1980s with a rock album for Arista.
