With one exception, the Cherry Red/Robinsongs reissue of Lalomie Washburn’s wonderful 1977 album, My Music Is Hot, got tremendous reviews. And rightly so. It really is a sexy, ebullient album that everyone should hear. As well as working on the reissue, I contributed a feature about Lalomie’s adventures in music for Shindig! Magazine.
